"May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live." Galatians 1:3-4 (NLT)
It is the week of love, a season when love fills the air; however, it is important for us to note that the greatest love of all is the love of God, so much so that He planned long ago to send His son to die for us in order to rescue us from this evil world. This love propelled Him to execute His love plan; He might have changed His mind after a while because as we know, it was not easy for Him, it is not a small thing to allow your only son to die for another.
Apostle Paul begins this letter by reminding the Galatians that Jesus "gave Himself for our sins." Why? So He could "rescue" us. The Greek Word used which was translated as been taken out "from this present evil age", literally means 'Set free, Released, Delivered'. Many Christians make the same kind of mistakes that plagued the Galatians. They accept a life of compromise and are content with an attitude of survival-not victory or abundance, but a life filled with burdens and care.
This is not God's intention, in Love He sacrificed His Son so that we will be rescued from this present evil age and live perpetually in victory, not defeat, and to be free, not bound or overwhelmed with burdens, and when you are living a burdensome life, you tend to get frustrated with life and everyone around you, you become prone to anger and cannot receive love or love.
The journey of love always starts with you, you cant give what you do not have, Jesus asked us to love our neighbours as we love ourselves, so in effect, if you dont love yourself, you cannot love anybody else. People want may want to genuinely help you but you just throw it back in their face. You cannot afford to accept less than all that God has prepared for you, believe His Word and declare His Promises to be true for you.
Let His grace and peace fill and heal your heart, it's not by works of righteousness, but by His grace alone, open your mind to see the fullness of all that He has prepared for you. He loves you much more than you can ever imagine, believe Him for complete victory, release that burden to God today, lay it all at His feet, Jesus has paid the price for you, you are saved, redeemed, rescued and free, accept the greatest love of all!
