God's word will never return to Him empty but will accomplish what God desires and achieve the purpose for which God sent it (Isaiah 55:11). God loves us, He's got a desire for us, He's got a purpose for our life and then He sends this through His word, He makes us aware of it by the word of his power; either spoken to us directly or indirectly through his servants. This is why a man that listens to the counsel of God's messenger will definitely prosper. Isaiah 54:10 says "though the mountains be shaken and hills be removed, yet God's unfailing love for us will not be shaken". He promised us this just the same way He swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth and truly God is faithful to Himself and His word.
This same water has not covered the earth since then. This shows us one thing that our God is one that is too faithful to fail and indeed. He keeps to His word and His word never fails nor falls to the ground. It will always accomplish that which it has been sent to do. This is the reason we need faith in the word of God. What God requires from us is that absolute trust in Him and His words that He's told us. Many of us feel deserted and distressed because we don't even open God's word to know what he has written concerning us and all that He has promised us in His word. Joshua told the children of Israel in Joshua 1:8 to embrace the commandments of God and never departs from it because therein lies their prosperity.
If you we don't read the word, how do we know what God's got in stock for us? God's promises are awesome. He says "though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will never be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed". Just give it a quick thought. Can the mountains be shaken, can the hills be removed, is it possible? Think again! Here,God is saying even if its possible, my own unfailing love for you will not be shaken and my covenant of peace will not be removed. Hahaha!!! Glory!!!!
This is awesome. Am so excited right now. God is awesome, isn't he? He says it will not. Wow!!! And remember God is faithful to His word. He even says 'his covenant of peace'. Hmmn! Covenant. Do we know what a covenant is? This is so deep. When you get into covenant with someone on something, it can't just be broken, there are so many things involved. God is not a man that he should lie nor a son of man that he should break covenants...its not possible...His word are just so sure. That's all-round peace even in the face of some unfavorable circumstances, you just keep enjoying the peace of God.
