WHAT WILL JESUS DO?

By Abiola Benjamin Obayomi       Jan 05, 2015

WHAT WILL JESUS DO?

'' And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom Heaven suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force'' Matthew 11:12(KJV) but this verse does not imply that we must use blows and physical weapons like guns, matchets and some other weapons to make it to Heaven. The Bible also says in 1 Cor.10:4 that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal-it is not in the use of armoury and instruments of war. The scriptures made it clear that the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us it is the power of God; which implies that not everybody will make it to heaven. Jesus said in John 17:12 that the son of perdition was unable to make it despite his effort at keeping everybody safe till the end.

As a believer, you must understand the fact that you don't force salvation on people, the same goes for deliverance too. The bible says that no man cometh to the father except the father draws him by Himself. Of all the deliverance that Jesus conducted while on earth, he usually begins with the question 'do you want to be made whole?'. I have never read anywhere in the scriptures that Jesus slapped a demon-possessed man or woman before they could obey him. Jesus should be our perfect example. The modern day Christianity has so much been perverted and diluted and often times i wonder what Jesus will do if he were to come and live in this generation. The scriptures have been perverted over and over again to suit individual selfish ends and ungodly ambitions. The men of God who should have hitherto been seen as the perfect examples of God's representatives on earth have turned themselves into an object of worship and have made many believers to go astray.

The altar of God have been polluted over and over again with mammon, idolatry, lies, and sometimes i wonder what Jesus will do. Thank God for the dispensation of Grace, all these evil were not possible in the time of old. As a matter of fact, a priest will have to purify and sanctify himself before entering into the HOLY OF HOLIES, if he wants to come out alive. But what we have in today's church parlance is men of God amassing great wealth all in the name of Jesus when there are church members dying of hunger and poverty. The kind of churches we have today is not the type Jesus established through the Apostles. In Acts of the Apostles, the bible recorded that the people sold their possessions and brought the residue to the feet of the Apostles to be shared among the brethren. Men of God today only care about what they can get from their church members.

Churches are being proliferated on daily basis for profit reasons. The apostle of today use expensive cars, fly in their private jets, owns chains of businesses across the world all in the name of religion while the sheeps are busy suffering. This question lingers in my mind, the earlier Apostles, didn't they have the wherewithal to be multimillionaires too in their days? Sincerely, something is wrong somewhere. It is through, God wants prosperity for his children, but the apostles should be a perfect examples of believers, not in becoming the richest pastor in the world, or harassing their church members, but in humility, asking himself what Jesus will do, if he were to be in his position right now.

Hmmm! That is a food for thought. Let The Lord be true, but every man a liar!
