The situation in Nigeria calls for both caution and introspection for every Nigerian, whether in politics or religion or any other sphere. I cannot but mention the seemly confusing scenario that is playing out in the polity. AIG Mbu, the man with "great" antecedents. I mean, a man with history for aggressive pursuit of his personal convictions, which most of the leaders in Nigeria consider to be an experienced Police Officer would have been better deployed by the IGP if the interest of average Nigerians was the reason for his deployment.
I understand that many Police Stations of Barracks have been sacked by the Insurgents in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria. I also know that the Police were the first to run for there lives in the midst of this National insecurity. I personally thought that the best place to post a passionate and professional officer like AIG Mbu would have been the North-East Zone, where there is serious break-down of law and order.
If I am in the position to advice the Presidency and the Inspector-General of Police; I would have suggested a redeployment of this "gallant" Officer to the "troubled" parts of the country. Since in a statement released by him recently; I promised to bring down any Nigeria that intends to cause trouble in Lagos State. I believe that Lagos State is one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, despite the population density. Therefore, the decision by the IGP to deploy a GOAL-GETTER Officer like AIG Mbu to a peaceful State, at the expense of many Zones or States in Nigeria where his talents are required is a DISSERVICE to the good people of Nigeria.
I therefore conclude that if the IGP and the Presidency desire peace in this country; square pegs should be put in square holes; AIG Mbu is better deployed in troubled regions of the country. I REST MY CASE!!!
