The animal and livestock fair of the Bateshwar village near Agra is held a simple two days before the Deepavali celebration. The fair is conducted for three weeks with every week highlighting different animals. If the primary week is dedicated to the cattle, the second week would be for camels and the last one is reserved for the goats. However, it is the last week of the fair that envoys the mirth and the crest of festivities with brilliantly created cultural functions being performed at the temples near Yamuna ghats. The birds are presented in brilliantly colored enclosures, where the merchants lay out an extensive assortment of pens and different toys which can be utilized by the birds. Apart from the animal activities, there are a substantial number of stalls offering brilliant rings, beautiful dish sets, woven straps, cowhide and metal straps.

If you like animal photography, the fair provides ample of opportunities to get a perfect shot of grazing cattle or a decorated camels or the might elephants. You can buy any number of items for your own pets like utensils, fabrics, collars and brilliant scarves and covers other than enjoying some amazing local dishes. The local chefs are particularly tuned as per the necessities of the guests and make their dishes as per their tastes. Each year several tourists visit the Bateshwar animal fair with a view of finding something unique.
